my hp envy 6055e printer was working then stopped.
Have tried everything the list.
1) power off/on router
2) power off/on printer
3) hold down wifi button for 6+ seconds
4) tried it on a different laptop
5) ran the scanner tool thing. - says printer won't connect
6) even tried a factory hard reset on printer, but not sure if it worked or not
I think it is in the what they call AWS mode - flashing purplish bar that slides from middle out.
but when I go to setup printer in HPsmart app, it says it is offline and to turn the power on.
Is this printer done for? Seems very hard to get any help on this.

Hi @nate1357,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you've gone through quite a bit of troubleshooting already. The flashing purplish bar typically indicates that the printer is in setup mode, but if it's not connecting to your network or devices, there might be a deeper issue.
Here are a few additional steps you could try:
- Check Network Settings: Make sure that your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network and that the network settings are configured properly. Sometimes, simply reconnecting to the network can resolve connectivity issues.
- Update Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Sometimes, updating the firmware can fix bugs or issues related to connectivity.
- Restart Devices: Try restarting not only your printer but also your router and any other devices connected to the network. Sometimes, a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.
- Check for Interference: Ensure that there are no devices or obstacles causing interference with the Wi-Fi signal to your printer. Devices like cordless phones, microwaves, or even neighboring networks can interfere with Wi-Fi signals.
If after trying all these steps the issue persists, it's possible that there could be a hardware problem with your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
