Hi @Lisa5221,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is showing as offline after switching internet service, here are some steps you can follow to resolve the issue. The problem might be due to a change in your network configuration. Let's go through the troubleshooting process:

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your laptop.
  • On the printer, open the network settings or Wi-Fi settings menu to reconnect to the Wi-Fi network. Follow the onscreen instructions to enter your new Wi-Fi network credentials.

Restart Devices:

  • Turn off your printer, router, and computer.
  • Wait for about 30 seconds and then turn them back on, starting with the router, then the printer, and finally the computer.

Set the Printer as Default:

  • Go to the Control Panel on your computer.
  • Select ‘Devices and Printers’ and make sure your printer is set as the default device.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Install the drivers and follow the setup instructions to reconnect the printer to the new network.

Check Firewall Settings:

  • Sometimes, firewall software may block printer functionality. Check if your firewall is blocking any printer network connections and allow them.

Manually Reconnect the Printer:

  • Go to your computer’s printer settings and remove your printer.
  • Add it again by searching for devices under ‘Printers & Scanners’ and connecting it to your network.

Update Your Printer's Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer's firmware is up to date. You can check for updates via the printer settings or the Official HP® Support.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
