Try these steps:
1. Check Printer Status
- Ensure Printer is Turned On:
- Make sure the printer is powered on and connected to the same network as your PC.
- Verify Network Connection:
- Check that the printer is connected to the Wi-Fi network and that there are no network connectivity issues.
2. Set Printer Online
- Change Printer Status to Online:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on the HP 2700 printer and select See what's printing.
- In the printer window, select Printer from the menu bar.
- Uncheck Use Printer Offline. This should change the status from offline to online.
3. Restart Printer and PC
- Restart Both Devices:
- Turn off the printer and your PC. Wait for 60 seconds.
- Turn on the printer first, ensure it connects to the network, and then turn on your PC.
4. Update Printer Driver
- Reinstall Driver:
- Uninstall the current printer driver from your PC:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on the HP 2700 and select Remove device.
- Download and install the latest printer driver from the HP Support website.
- Follow the installation instructions and reconnect the printer to your PC.
- Uninstall the current printer driver from your PC:
5. Check Printer Port
- Configure Printer Port:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
- Right-click on the HP 2700 printer and select Printer properties.
- Go to the Ports tab and ensure the port selected is correct (it should correspond to the network IP address of your printer).
- If necessary, add the correct port by clicking Add Port, selecting Standard TCP/IP Port, and following the wizard.
6. Run Windows Troubleshooter
- Use Troubleshooter Utility:
- Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot.
- Select Printer and run the troubleshooter to detect and fix issues.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the troubleshooting process.
