Hi @JWJ4769,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

To install an HP printer remotely, you will need to follow some steps. Here’s a general guide.

Gather Information:

  • Product Name and Model of the HP Printer.
  • The operating system of the computer that the printer will connect to (e.g., Windows, MacOS).
  • How the printer is connected (e.g., via a network, USB).

Install HP Software:

  • Make sure the HP printer software is available. You can download the latest drivers and software from the HP Support website using the model name.

Network Connection Setup:

  • If the printer is network-capable, ensure it is connected to the same network as the computer.
  • Use the printer’s control panel to connect to the Wi-Fi network.

Remote Access Software:

  • Use remote access software to control the computer where the printer will be installed, such as Remote Desktop or third-party remote access tools.

Driver Installation:

  • On the computer, run the HP Software setup and follow the instructions. Choose the appropriate connection type (Wi-Fi or Ethernet for network installation).
  • If prompted, confirm the printer appears on the network and follow any remaining steps to complete the installation.

Configuration:

  • Configure the printer settings, preferences, and confirm it prints successfully by initiating a test print.

Please ensure you have permission and access rights to use remote access software for this purpose.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
