Here is the translation in English:

I have done a factory reset, I have set a static IP, I found the PIN from the settings, and I am trying to log in to Web Services. There, I enter admin as the username and the PIN as the password, but it does not let me log in. What am I doing wrong???

Of course, I also tried using the same username and password that I use to log in to the HP Smart app, but it still does not let me in. What mistake am I making?

Hi @razorcool,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I know how incredibly frustrating this feels. You’ve done the factory reset, set a static IP, found the printer PIN, and now you’re staring at the Web Services login screen… typing “admin” and the PIN… and the printer just keeps rejecting it. Try the following steps:

1. Ensure Correct Credentials

  • Make sure you're using the correct administrator credentials. Usually, 'admin' is the default username, and the password might be a specific PIN or another default password. If these credentials have been changed previously, the defaults might not work.

2. Reset the Password

  • Factory Reset: If you've done a factory reset, normally it would reset all settings, including login credentials. Try again using 'admin' and the PIN displayed on the printer or indicated in the documentation.
  • Reset Credentials: If there's an option to reset login credentials from the printer control panel or within the settings menu, try resetting these.

3. Network Connection

  • Ensure your device is connected to the same network as your printer. This can impact your ability to connect reliably with static IPs if the network configuration is not consistent.

4. Use the Correct Password

  • PIN Misunderstanding: Verify if the PIN you are using is specifically for the administrative password. Sometimes there are multiple PINs provided (e.g., for mobile printing or WPS setups).
  • Consult Documentation: Check the printer's user manual or support page online to ensure you are using the intended PIN, or if there are specific steps for first-time login after a reset.

5. Browser Issues

  • Clear Cache: Sometimes, browser cache can cause conflicts. Clear the cache or try a different browser to access the web interface.
  • HTTPS Prefix: Ensure the URL starts correctly with HTTP or HTTPS. Check the documentation for exact details.

6. Security Settings

  • Check for Firmware Updates: Make sure the printer firmware is up-to-date, which might resolve any glitches with login or security settings.

…whatever you write in your response, I have already done it. I found the solution for how to finally install it using the older HP program, HP Smart, and the full web drivers package, so I installed it on each one of my computers (I have three). However, the only real solution I see is to buy a print server and connect it there, essentially turning it into a network printer.”
