Hello @jer85, Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding the HP Envy 6100r printer.

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution. We hope our assistance has been helpful!

It seems like your HP ENVY 6100r printer may be linked to a different HP account, which is causing the connection issue.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please try a few troubleshooting steps provided below so that I can assist you further?

1. Reset the Printer: This will remove any previously registered accounts.

  • Turn off your printer and unplug the power cord from the printer.
  • Wait about 60 seconds, then plug the power cord back in and turn the printer on.

2. Re-register the Printer:

  • Open the HP Smart app on your device.
  • Ensure you are logged in with the account you wish to register the printer to.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to add a new printer.
  • If prompted, enter the printer's IP address, or proceed with Wi-Fi setup.

3. Check HP Account Details:

  • Go to HP's website and log into the HP account that your printer is currently registered to.
  • Navigate to the "My HP Dashboard" and manage the devices to remove the printer from that account if needed.

4. Connect to Wi-Fi:

  • Ensure your printer's Wi-Fi is turned on and it’s within the range of your network.
  • On the printer control panel, go to the Network settings to connect with your SSID.
  • You might need to enter the Wi-Fi password for a successful connection.

5. Update Printer Firmware:

  • Ensure your printer is using the latest firmware by going to HP's website and checking for updates.

To help us get started on resolving your issue, could you please let me know the make and model of the Poly device so that I can assist you further?

Take care and have an amazing day!

I'm an HP Employee.
