After weeks of going back and forth with hp, I finally figured out the problem. If anyone buys a used printer, make sure the previous owner unlinks the printer from their account. That should be the first thing HP tells you when you report the issue. Was never even mentioned

Hi @emann9
Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.
The Print Anywhere feature not appearing on your HP Envy 6455e is typically linked to account setup or app configuration rather than the printer itself. Ensuring the HP App is correctly signed in and the printer is registered to your account usually resolves this.
Understanding the Issue
- You mentioned the printer and phone are on the same network, which is good.
- Print Anywhere requires more than local Wi-Fi connectivity; it depends on proper account setup in the HP App and enabling the feature in the printer’s cloud services.
- If the option is missing, it usually means the feature hasn’t been activated or synced with your account.
Steps to Resolve
Confirm HP App Login
- Open the HP App on your phone.
- Ensure you are signed in with the same account used when setting up the printer.
Check Printer Registration
- In the HP App, select your printer.
- Go to Printer Settings → Advanced Settings.
- Verify that the printer is registered to your account.
Enable Print Anywhere
- In the HP App, navigate to Print Anywhere under the printer’s settings.
- If the option is not visible, refresh the printer connection by removing and re-adding the printer in the app.
Update Firmware and App
- On the printer’s control panel, check for firmware updates.
- Update the HP App to the latest version from your phone’s app store.
Reconnect Printer
- Remove the printer from the HP App.
- Re-add it by selecting Add Printer and following the guided setup.
- During setup, ensure cloud services are enabled.
Verify Remote Access
- Once enabled, Print Anywhere should appear in the HP App.
- Test by turning off Wi-Fi on your phone and sending a print job using mobile data.
Note
- Both printer and phone must be linked to the same HP account.
- Print Anywhere will not show if the printer is only added locally via Wi-Fi Direct or IP address.
- Refreshing the printer setup in the HP App often reactivates the feature.
