Hi @ajmlt,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP OfficeJet 8130e not showing the wireless blue light and you’re trying to find the printer hostname to reconnect it to a Windows 10 laptop. Let’s go through how to restore the wireless connection and locate the hostname.

Put the printer back into Wi-Fi setup mode
On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wireless button for about 5 seconds until the blue light starts blinking.
Blinking indicates the printer is ready to reconnect to a network.

Reconnect using HP Smart
Open HP Smart on your Windows 10 laptop.
Click Add Printer → Set up a new printer, then follow the prompts to reconnect the printer to Wi-Fi.

Print a network information page (to find hostname)
On the printer control panel, press Information (i) + Wireless together (or use Setup → Reports → Network Configuration Report, depending on the panel).
Look for a line labeled Hostname (for example: HPxxxxxx).

Connect using the hostname in Windows
On your laptop, go to Settings → Printers & Scanners → Add printer → The printer I want isn’t listed.
Choose Add a printer using TCP/IP address or hostname, then enter the hostname from the report.

Restart router and printer
Turn off the printer and unplug your Wi-Fi router for 60 seconds, then power everything back on.
This often restores wireless discovery.

I hope this helps.
