HP Photosmart e-All-in-One Printer - D110a

Photosmart 110a printer keeps losing connectivity to the WiFi router. It has an assigned IP address above the DHCP range and sometimes stays connected for weeks and then sometimes loses connectivity while printing a job. This happens from both my MacBook and my iPad, although these devices remain connected to the Wifi router. When I find the printer not connected and I connect to the admin function of the router and look at connected devices the printer is not listed. In order to get it back I have to power cycle it. I found the best way is to just pull the power plug out of the wall and plug it back in.

Any ideas how to solve this?

I was looking to replace my 110a with the Envy 6055a but I read that it has similar issues.
