Hi @seamus44,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP DeskJet 6555e is connected to the Wi-Fi and prints fine from your iPhone, but your Windows PC won’t print. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check if the PC sees the printer on the network

On your PC, go to Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners.

If the 6555e is listed but “offline,” remove it and we’ll add it again.

Re-add the printer using HP Smart

Download/launch HP Smart on your PC.

Select Add Printer.

If the printer is on the same Wi-Fi, it should appear automatically.

Add it and let HP Smart install the full driver.

Ensure the PC is on the same Wi-Fi band

Many routers broadcast 2.4 GHz & 5 GHz.

Your printer uses 2.4 GHz.

Make sure your PC isn’t connected to a separate guest network or isolated band.

Run the HP Print and Scan Doctor

Download HP Print and Scan Doctor on your PC.

Run it and select your 6555e.

It will automatically fix driver, connection, and port issues.

Check the printer’s IP address on the PC

Print a Network Configuration Page from the printer.

On the PC, open a browser and type that IP address.

If the printer’s webpage opens, the PC can reach the printer, meaning the issue is driver/configuration.

Restart the print spooler (quick fix)

Press Win + R, type: services.msc

Find Print Spooler, right-click → Restart.

Try printing again.

Disable VPN or firewall temporarily

VPNs and strict firewalls often block local network printers.

Turn them off briefly and try printing.

I hope this helps.
