My Amazon Echo plus will not print. The Echo Plus indicates list sent to printer. I have removed and reinstalled hp smart several times. Also removed and reinstalled the skill on the Echo device. Hp Smart prints from my cell phone. My printer is a network printer and is hard wired.

I have tried the troubleshooting to no avail. I have gotten it to work. I removed the HP printer skill from My echo device. I then removed the Alexa app and reinstalled it on my phone. I then ask the Alexa app to search for devices. Alexa found my HP printer under devices. I then installed the printer. Now Alexa prints just fine. Avoiding the HP Printer skill and not loading it has enabled printing from Alexa. HP needs to do some serious work in the HP printer skill.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.

Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:

  • Are you using an HP connected account?
  • Have you checked the internet connection is active? You cannot connect more than one printer to your Amazon device.

If Alexa tells you that your printer is an invalid or internal error, make sure the printer model matches the printer shown in the Alexa app.

  1. Open the Alexa app, tap the Menu icon , and then select Activity.

  2. Find the card for a recent voice-print request. If you don’t have a card from the HP Printer Skill, say “Alexa, ask my printer to print a Help page,” and then find the card for that request.

  3. Confirm that the printer model on the card matches your printer.

    • If the printer models match, wait a few hours, and then try printing again. If the issue persists, contact HP Customer Support.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.
