Hi @paulie52,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

I'd be glad to help you!

I’m sorry you're having trouble connecting your HP DeskJet 4155e to your computer. It's frustrating when it works from one device but not another, and I’m here to help you resolve it.

  1. Are you trying to connect the printer to your computer wirelessly, or are you using a USB connection?
  2. Have you checked if the printer is appearing in the list of devices under Printers & Scanners in Windows Settings?
  3. Have you recently updated your Windows 11 operating system or the printer drivers?
  4. Are you connecting the printer to a 2.4Ghz network or 5Ghz network?

Let's try these steps.

Check Printer Connection:

  • If you’re using Wi-Fi, ensure both the printer and your computer are connected to the same network. If it's a USB connection, try a different USB port or cable to rule out hardware issues.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & Scanners, remove the printer, then reinstall the drivers from the HP website or use the HP Smart app.

Run the Windows Printer Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Troubleshoot > Additional Troubleshooters, and select Printer to run the troubleshooter to automatically detect and fix issues.

Reset the Printer's Network Settings (if wireless):

  • On the printer's control panel, go to Setup > Network Settings > Restore Network Defaults. Afterward, reconnect it to your Wi-Fi network.

Check for Updates:

  • Ensure both your printer firmware and your Windows 11 drivers are up to date. Go to Settings > Windows Update for updates, and check the HP website for the latest printer firmware.
