Hi @emilion,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer is frequently offline despite trying various troubleshooting steps, here are a few additional measures you can take.

Check the Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network as your computer.
  • If it's a wired connection, check the USB or Ethernet cable for damage.

Restart Devices:

  • Power off your printer, router, and computer. Wait a minute, then power them back on.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Make sure you have the latest printer drivers installed. Visit the HP website to download and install any updates.

Set Printer as Default:

  • On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click on your printer, and select "Set as default printer."

Disable Offline Mode:

  • Go to Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, select "See what's printing," then go to the "Printer" menu and ensure "Use Printer Offline" is unchecked.

Check Firewall/Security Software:

  • Sometimes, firewall or security software can block printer communication. Temporarily disable them to see if it resolves the issue.

Reinstall the Printer:

  • Remove the printer from your devices and reinstall it. Use the HP Smart app or HP Print and Scan Doctor for a guided setup.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
