Hi @bethanyb16,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
To reconnect your HP DeskJet 2722 printer to the new Wi-Fi network after a power outage, you'll need to follow these steps.
Printer Preparation:
- Make sure your printer is turned on.
- Check that it has paper loaded in the input tray.
Access Wireless Setup Wizard:
- Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer's control panel for about 5 seconds or until the wireless light starts blinking.
- This action will activate the Wireless Setup Wizard, which helps you connect to a new Wi-Fi network.
Select Network:
- Once the Wireless light starts blinking, release the Wireless button.
- The printer will search for available networks. When the list of networks appears on the printer's control panel display, locate and select your new Wi-Fi network name (SSID).
Enter Network Password:
- If prompted, enter the password for your new Wi-Fi network using the printer's control panel.
- Use the arrows or keypad on the printer to navigate and enter alphanumeric characters (letters and numbers).
Complete Setup:
- After entering the password, press OK or Done on the printer's control panel.
- The printer will attempt to connect to the new Wi-Fi network. Once successfully connected, the wireless light on the printer will stop blinking and remain solid.
Test Connection:
- Print a wireless network test report to confirm that the printer is connected to the new Wi-Fi network properly.
Following these steps should help you reconnect your HP DeskJet 2722 printer to your updated Wi-Fi network settings.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.

Hello, these instructions won’t work because my display doesn’t include that information. It’s a small desktop printer it just has the Wi-Fi image but does not list networks. I’m guessing I need to change networks through the app but I cannot figure out how?
