Try these steps:
Verify Network Security Key:
- Ensure that you are entering the correct network security key (Wi-Fi password). Check uppercase and lowercase characters, as they are case-sensitive.
Reset Network Settings on Printer:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the network settings.
- Reset or restore network settings to default to ensure there are no incorrect configurations.
Use Wireless Setup Wizard:
- Use the Wireless Setup Wizard on your printer to reconnect to the network. Access it from the control panel:
- Touch the Wireless icon.
- Select Settings and then choose Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Select your network and enter the correct security key.
Check Router Settings:
- Ensure that your router is functioning correctly and is not restricting new device connections.
- Verify that MAC address filtering is not enabled, or add your printer’s MAC address to the allowed list.
Move Printer Closer to Router:
- Place the printer closer to the router to ensure a strong wireless signal and avoid connectivity issues.
Restart Devices:
- Restart both your printer and the router. Power cycling helps to clear temporary glitches.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure your printer's firmware is up-to-date to avoid compatibility issues. You can check for updates via the HP Smart app or the printer settings.
