I have an HP8710 Printer that uses WPA2 security/encryption.  My new xfinity gateway router uses WPA3.  do I need a newer printer or is there upgrade software?

Welcome to the HP Community --

 

It is common that routers that support WPA3 are backward compatible to WPA2.

Check the router's user guide or ask your supplier to be sure.

 

No, there is not a software or firmware upgrade to make the printer compatible with WPA3.
