Printer has been connected to the network for years. Now suddenly it no longer will connect to the network, or if it does, it only lasts a few seconds. Have turned on and off, uninstalled printer, reinstalled it. Test page says all ok. Any suggestions or is my printer network card dead?

Let's try these steps: https://support.hp.com/in-en/product/hp-officejet-pro-8600-plus-e-all-in-one-printer-series-n911/432... refer to step 2. (Determine your router IP address and password)
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for posting on the HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, however, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- Did this happen after a recent window or software update?
- Have you made any hardware/software changes?
- Have you tried updating the printer firmware?
While you respond to that, let's try these steps: Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor: Follow steps from the link: Click here
And, also refer to the article: HP printer does not maintain Wi-Fi connection
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

Thank you for your reply. When I look at the panel, and reconnect to internet, it will connect for a couple of seconds then disconnect. When I run the Repair program, when first opens lists my printer, but when it runs, it can't find it.

Thank you for posting back.
Let's try this:
Root level uninstall and reinstall printer drivers:
- Go to Control panel – Programs and feature – Select all the HP Officejet printer entries and uninstall them.
- Now go to Control panel – Devices and printer – Select all the printer entries and remove the device.
- Then press the "windows key" + "r" to get the "Run" window open - Type "printui.exe /s" and press enter.
- Under print server properties, go to drivers - remove any entry there as well.
- Again, go to run window, type – “c:/programdata” – Go to Hewlett Packard folder, remove any printer related folders & files.
To reinstall, click here.
Keep me posted for further assistance.
