Hi @robyct80,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
If your HP DeskJet 3762 printer is showing as offline even though the wireless connection is on, you can try the following troubleshooting steps.
- Restart Printer: Turn off the printer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn it back on. This can sometimes reset the printer and resolve connectivity issues.
- Restart Router: If the printer is connected wirelessly, restart your wireless router. Sometimes, network issues can cause the printer to go offline.
- Check Wi-Fi Connection: Ensure that the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. You may need to re-enter the Wi-Fi password to establish a stable connection.
- Check Printer Settings: On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings and verify that the wireless connection is enabled and properly configured.
- Update Printer Firmware: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer. Updating the firmware can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
- Restart Computer: If you're trying to print from a computer, try restarting your computer. Sometimes, issues with the computer's network settings can affect the printer's connectivity.
- Reinstall Printer Drivers: If none of the above steps work, try reinstalling the printer drivers on your computer. Sometimes, outdated or corrupted drivers can cause connectivity problems.
- Check for Interference: Ensure that no physical barriers or electronic devices are interfering with the wireless signal between the printer and the router.
- Reset Printer Network Settings: As a last resort, you can try resetting the printer's network settings to factory defaults and then reconfigure the wireless connection.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
