There are 6  networks discovered when I run a Wireless Report on my printer. The first in de list is my old network, the second is my new network. My printer will not connect to my new network. I have many devices that use the new network

The YOUR-PRINTER can operate in the 2.4 and the 5ghz band. I suspect the problem is the SSID of both bands (the name in the band) is the same and the printer gets a different IP address when it wakes up from sleep depending on which band it is assigned by the modem.

Make the printer use only the 2.4ghz band. At the printers control panel look for the option to select 2.4, 5ghz or "auto" and select 2.4. If the printer does not have those options then you will have to log into the modem and rename one of the bands.

Your router may be handing out IP addresses to "first come first served" and if your printer powers up after one or more other devices it may not be assigned the same IP address as the last time it started up.  This is especially true for flex systems (multiple booster and Wi-Fi repeaters).

Wi-Fi direct is explained on page 94 of the user manual and watch this video The default Wi-Fi direct password is 12345678 but you can get a network report if you want.

Thank you for responding. I have now see that the printer still refers to my old netwrk (ssid). I cannot cancel that. I think the only solution is to remove the printer from my system and to create it back
