Hi @pabuechler,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like your PC is experiencing issues with printing to your HP OfficeJet 8020 printer, which previously worked fine. To help you solve this problem, we can try a few troubleshooting steps:

Check the Printer Connection:

  • Ensure the printer is properly connected to your network if you're using it wirelessly, or check the USB connection if it's connected directly.
  • Verify that the printer is online and not showing any error messages on its display.

Restart Devices:

  • Restart both your printer and the PC that is having issues. This can resolve many connectivity or software glitches.

Check Printer Settings on the PC:

  • Go to "Settings" > "Devices" > "Printers & scanners" on the affected PC. Make sure the HP OfficeJet 8020 is set as the default printer.
  • Try removing the printer and adding it again. This can refresh the connection settings.

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Visit the HP website to download and install the latest drivers for your printer model. Sometimes, outdated or corrupted drivers can cause issues.

Check for Windows Updates:

  • Ensure that your PC is up to date with the latest Windows updates. Sometimes, printing issues are resolved with system updates.

Print a Test Page:

  • Try printing a test page from the printer settings to see if the printer itself is working correctly.

Check the Print Queue:

  • Open the print queue and clear any stuck or failed print jobs that might be causing the printer to become unresponsive.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
