Why It’s Asking for a Fax Number

• HP OfficeJet and some ENVY models have built-in fax capability.
• The HP software tries to configure fax settings during installation.
• If you don’t plan to use a fax, you can skip this step.

How to Skip Fax Setup

• In the HP app or printer setup wizard: 
  • Look for “Skip”, “Not Now”, or “Disable Fax” options.
• If you don’t see those: 
  • Complete the setup without entering a fax number (leave blank or enter “0000000000”).
  • Later, disable fax in Printer Preferences → Fax Settings.

Bluetooth Printing Note

• Bluetooth is not the primary method for HP printers; it’s usually for setup only.
• For reliable printing and scanning, connect via Wi-Fi or USB.
