Hi @MuraliKrishna3,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Installing and connecting an HP printer to your computer involves a few steps. Here's a general guide to help you through the process. Keep in mind that specific steps may vary depending on your printer model and operating system.

Step 1: Unpack and Set Up the Printer

  1. Remove all packaging materials from the printer.
  2. Place the printer on a flat surface and connect the power cable.
  3. Turn on the printer and follow any on-screen instructions to set language, country, and other preferences.

Step 2: Install Ink or Toner Cartridges

If your printer uses ink or toner cartridges, follow the instructions provided with your printer to install them.

Step 3: Connect the Printer to Your Computer

Wired Connection (USB):

  • Connect one end of the USB cable to the printer and the other end to an available USB port on your computer.

Wireless Connection:

  • If your printer supports wireless connectivity, you can connect it to your Wi-Fi network. Refer to your printer's manual for specific instructions on how to do this.
  • Once connected to the Wi-Fi network, note the printer's IP address.

Step 4: Install Printer Software and Drivers

Insert the Installation CD:

  • If your printer came with an installation CD, insert it into your computer and follow the on-screen instructions.

Download Software from HP Website:

  • Visit the official HP website (https://support.hp.com) and enter your printer model.
  • Download the latest software and drivers for your printer.
  • Run the downloaded file and follow the installation prompts.

Step 5: Configure Printer Settings (Optional)

  1. Open the Control Panel on your computer.
  2. Go to "Devices and Printers."
  3. Right-click on your HP printer and select "Printer Properties" or "Properties."
  4. Adjust any additional settings, such as paper size, orientation, etc.

Step 6: Test Your Printer

  1. Print a test page to ensure that your printer is set up correctly.
  2. If you encounter any issues, refer to the troubleshooting section in your printer manual or visit the HP support website for assistance.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
