Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.

HP OfficeJet 8122e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

OfficeJet 8120e reports “HP App Disconnected” following a monthly®annual plan migration. I can no longer print with this printer even though it is connect to the internet (I tried two different networks with same result, HP Web Services is disconnected. Here is claude's summary:  The printer is fully reachable and its Web Services registration succeeds, but its persistent cloud connection
(“HP App”) is rejected, so the printer shows as disconnected and cannot print. The failure began on/around
September 1, 2026, coinciding exactly with my switch from a monthly to an annual Instant Ink plan. Testing
confirms this is a device-binding / provisioning problem on the HP account backend, not a local network issue.

Confirmed diagnosis
• Wireless Network Test Report shows HP Web Services registration = Registered, but HP App
connection = Disconnected.
• Base connectivity is proven good: the printer is on Wi-Fi, its embedded web server (EWS) is reachable
by IP, and firmware is current with auto-update enabled.
• The cloud last-sync timestamp in the hpsmart dashboard froze on ~Sept 1, 2026 — the same date as
the plan migration.

Requested action
Please de-provision and re-provision this device’s cloud binding on my account (force a backend
device re-sync), so the printer can re-establish its persistent HP App connection. This appears to be a
provisioning record that failed to update when my Instant Ink plan was migrated. Local resets do not resolve it
because the rejection follows the printer onto any network. Please route this to the Instant Ink / Tier 2 team
rather than standard network troubleshooting.
