Hi all,

I just setup my new printer (m283fdw). It is connected to my local wifi, I installed the driver on my laptop using HP smart, the printer is detected and everything is fine. I can scan from the printer, I can launch a wifi test from hp smart and the test is printed, I can scan from the printer and get the document on my laptop, but when I want to print from my laptop (using hp smart), it doesn't work:

I launch the print from my laptop and I see on the printer's screen: printing document, but it lasts 1 sec and then it stops and the document is not printed.

I also tried to print by usb cable and I get the same issue, I see the message "printing document" but it stops and the document is not printed, so it is not a network problem.

Has anyone had the same issue ?

Thanks in advance for your help,

Best,

M

Welcome to HP Community

I have gone through your Post and would like to help

Please download and run the HP Print And Scan Doctor: ftp://ftp.hp.com/pub/printers/hppsdr/patches/HPPSdr.exe

Run PSDR v5.0.2

Once the PSDR detects the Printer, it will show up the IP address and Software Status.

Select the correct Printer and click on Next.

PSDR will check if the Printer is on the Network and communication between the PC and the Printer. Once the connection check is done, click on Fix Printing

Once PSDR goes through all checks and automatic fixes, click on Print a test page.

Regardless if PSDR printed the test page or not, click on “NO PRINT”

PSDR will then notify you that there is an update available, click on continue, and PSDR will apply the patch and ask for a reboot.

Post restart the PSDR will run automatically to check for more issue.  If no issue found close PSDR.

Keep me posted
