Common problems for Connectivity Issues
We would like to share some of the most frequently asked questions about Printer Wi-Fi, Connectivity Issues and Offline Status. Check out this link: HP printer is offline or unavailable.
HP Recommended

Hello,

I've setup my printer HP Laserjet Pro 3001dwe. I couldn't do wireless so I did using an usb wire. My PC has detected the printer as a plug and play device but at the time to send a document for printing nothing happens. I've setup the printer as default and the system recognize it automatically.

If someone had the same issue in the past and could advise how to resolve it please?

Thanks.

Hi @piter23,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP LaserJet Pro 3001dwe is detected but not printing. There are some troubleshooting steps you can follow to resolve the issue:

Check Printer Status: Ensure the printer is turned on and properly connected to the PC via USB. The printer should be set as the default printer on your computer.

Printer Queue:

  • Open the Control Panel, navigate to Devices and Printers.
  • Double-click on your HP LaserJet Pro 3001dwe.
  • Check the status of print jobs in the queue. If there are any stuck documents, cancel them and try printing again.

Check Connections:

  • Ensure the USB cable is securely connected to both the printer and the PC.
  • Try using a different USB port on your computer.

Driver Update:

  • Visit the https://support.hp.com/us-en and make sure that the latest drivers for your printer are installed.
  • Navigate through the support section by entering your printer model and downloading the correct driver and firmware updates.

Printer Reboot:

  • Turn off your printer, unplug it from power, wait about 30 seconds, and then power it back on.

System Restart:

  • Restart your computer to refresh the connection between the printer and the PC.

Firmware Update:

  • Check if there are any firmware updates available for your printer, which can sometimes resolve connectivity issues

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
