Hi @Linpon,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Here's a step-by-step guide to troubleshoot and resolve the issue where your HP DeskJet Ink Advantage 3835 All-in-One Printer is showing offline when printing:

Restart Devices:

  • Restart your printer, laptop, and router.

Check Printer Status:

  • Go to "Devices and Printers" on your laptop.
  • Right-click on your printer and select "See what's printing."
  • In the queue window, click on "Printer" in the top menu and ensure "Use Printer Offline" is unchecked.

Set Printer as Default:

  • In "Devices and Printers," right-click on your printer and select "Set as default printer."

Update Printer Drivers:

  • Open Device Manager on your laptop.
  • Find your printer under "Printers" or "Print queues."
  • Right-click on your printer and select "Update driver."

Reinstall Printer:

  • Remove your printer from "Devices and Printers."
  • Go to "Settings" > "Devices" > "Printers & scanners."
  • Click on your printer and select "Remove device."
  • Re-add the printer by clicking "Add a printer or scanner" and follow the instructions.

Check Printer IP Address:

  • Print a network configuration page from your printer (usually found in the printer settings or menu).
  • Ensure the IP address of the printer matches the one your laptop is trying to connect to.
  • You can manually set the IP address if needed by accessing the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS). Use the HP printer Embedded Web Server (EWS)

Restart Print Spooler:

  • Open "Run" by pressing Windows key + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Find "Print Spooler" in the list, right-click on it, and select "Restart."

Firewall and Antivirus:

  • Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your laptop to see if it is blocking the printer connection.

HP Smart App:

  • Install and use the HP Smart app to manage your printer. Sometimes it can resolve connectivity issues automatically.
  • Download the app from the HP website.

Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network.
  • Reconnect the printer to the Wi-Fi network if necessary.
  1. Power Cycle:
  • Turn off your printer and unplug it from the power source.
  • Wait for a minute, then plug it back in and turn it on.
