Hi @Nancy0909,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If your HP DeskJet 2800e All-in-One printer is appearing offline despite being connected to the internet, you can try the following steps to resolve the issue:

Check Printer Status:

  • Ensure that your printer is set as the default printer on your computer. Go to "Devices and Printers" on your computer, right-click on your printer, and select "Set as default printer."

Check Connection:

  • Since you mentioned that the power and internet lights are blinking, ensure the Wi-Fi connection is stable.
  • Move the printer closer to the router to improve signal strength if necessary.
  • Verify that there are no physical obstructions or electronic devices causing interference.

Reset Network Settings:

  • Press the Wi-Fi and Cancel buttons on the printer for 3 seconds to restore network settings and re-establish a connection with the Wi-Fi.

Re-add the Printer:

  • Remove the printer from your devices list and re-add it via the HP Smart app or your operating system's printer settings.

Update Printer Firmware:

Check HP App:

  • Use the HP app to diagnose and troubleshoot any existing issues. The app can guide you through various connectivity solutions.

Power Cycle Printer and Router:

  • As you've already done this step (unplugging and waiting), make sure you also restart the router to refresh the network connection.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
