Hi @Alex93714,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are facing a printing crooked or misaligned pages can occur due to various factors, such as incorrect paper loading, hardware misalignments, or software issues. Here’s how to troubleshoot the issue with your HP OfficeJet 5255 All-in-One Printer:

Step 1: Check the Paper

Paper Alignment:

  • Ensure the paper is loaded correctly in the input tray.
  • Adjust the paper width guides so they touch the edges of the paper without bending or pinching it.

Paper Quality:

  • Use clean, wrinkle-free, and straight paper.
  • Avoid overloading the tray.

Step 2: Perform Printer Maintenance

Printhead Alignment:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to Settings > Tools > Align Printhead.
  • Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the alignment process.

Clean the Printhead:

  • In the same Tools menu, select Clean Printhead to ensure no debris or dried ink is causing misalignments.

Step 3: Check the Hardware

Inspect the Rollers:

  • Turn off the printer and disconnect it from the power source.
  • Open the access area and inspect the paper feed rollers for debris, dirt, or damage.
  • Clean the rollers with a lint-free cloth slightly dampened with distilled water.

Check for Obstructions:

  • Ensure there are no foreign objects inside the printer causing the paper to skew.

Step 4: Adjust Printer Settings

  1. Open the HP Smart App or the printer driver on your computer.
  2. Go to Printer Preferences or Printer Properties.
  3. Ensure that the Paper Size and Type settings match the paper loaded in the tray.

Step 5: Update Printer Firmware and Drivers Update the firmware on an HP printer

  1. Visit the HP Support website.
  2. Enter your printer model and download the latest firmware and driver updates.

Step 6: Test Print

  1. Print a test page from the printer's menu or the HP Smart app.
  2. Observe if the issue persists.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
