My printer was great until yesterday when I tried to update a new feature. I went to the display screen and clicked onto scan to computer. It had me download something to the pc and then insist on an Ethernet connection when I had it working as wireless. Then is when the problems started. I could not find mine SSID, even though the printer said it was already attached to the correct SSID name. I would try to look for the IP Address it recognized before and nothing, but the last digit changed to two other numbers... one for USB and the other was for the wireless. Still nothing would work. I reset the printer back to its factory setting and then the headache really started. It ONLY wanted Ethernet but could not find the IP or the SSID. Instead of being stuck on the QR Code screen, I am now stuck on the "Preparing" screen. I have reset the modem, the printer, the computer MULTIPLE TIMES... I have even changed out the ethernet cord. NOTHING. Please help. Please tell me I did not get a lemon and will have to exchange this brand new printer...

If you're facing connectivity issues with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9135e printer after attempting to update features, especially related to scanning to computer, follow these steps to resolve the issue:

Restart Devices: Restart your printer, computer, and router to ensure they are functioning correctly.

Check Network Connection:

  • Ensure your printer and computer are both connected to the same Wi-Fi network.
  • Verify that your SSID is visible and accessible from other devices.

Reconfigure Wireless Settings:

  • On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Network > Wireless Setup Wizard.
  • Follow the prompts to reconnect the printer to your Wi-Fi network.

Download and Install HP Smart:

  • Download the HP Smart app on your Windows 11 device from the Microsoft Store.
  • Using HP Smart, set up your printer and ensure it is connected wirelessly.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Go to the HP Support Website and search for your printer model.
  • Download the latest drivers and software for Windows 11.
  • Reinstall the drivers and software to ensure everything is up-to-date.

Check for Updates:

  • Ensure your printer’s firmware is updated. You can check for firmware updates from the HP Smart app or the printer's control panel.
