Hi @Morninjogger,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP printer is not able to connect to the internet and is unable to print from your HP computer. Here are some troubleshooting steps you can follow:

Check Printer Connection:

  • Ensure that the printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. You might need to reconnect it to the network if the connection was lost.

Verify Network Settings:

  • Print a network configuration or a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer to ensure that it is connected to the correct network. The report can help identify any network-related issues.

Reboot Devices:

  • Restart both your HP printer and computer. Sometimes a simple reboot can resolve connectivity issues.

Reinstall Printer Software:

  • Uninstall the existing printer software from your computer and download the latest drivers and software from https://support.hp.com/us-en. Reinstalling can resolve issues caused by outdated or corrupted drivers.

Check Default Printer:

  • On your HP computer, ensure that your HP printer is set as the default printer. You can manage printer settings through the “Devices and Printers” section in your control panel.

Wireless Signal Strength:

  • Make sure that the printer is within range of your router. Poor signal strength can cause connectivity issues.

Firewall and Security Software:

  • Check if any firewall or security software on your computer is blocking the printer from communicating with your computer. You might need to temporarily disable them to see if they are causing the issue.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Sometimes, updating the printer’s firmware can fix connectivity issues. Check https://support.hp.com/us-en for any available firmware updates for your printer model.

    I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
