Hi @bart01

Welcome to the HP Support Community! We're here to help you get back up and running.

I acknowledge the situation you described: the printer is visible on your devices, shows as connected to the network, and the internet strength is good, but the print job halts just before completing.

Let’s go through structured and recommended steps to resolve this:

Run Diagnose & Fix in HP App

  • Open the HP App on your computer or mobile device.
  • Select your printer.
  • Go to Printer SettingsAdvanced SettingsDiagnose & Fix.
  • Allow the tool to automatically check and repair connectivity or driver issues.
  • Reference: HP Diagnose & Fix Tool

Verify Printer Status in HP App

  • Ensure the printer shows as Ready in the HP App.
  • If it shows Offline, click on the printer icon and select Reconnect.

Check Print Queue

  • On Windows: Open Control PanelDevices and Printers → Right‑click your printer → See what’s printing.
  • Cancel any stuck jobs, then retry printing.
  • On macOS: Go to System PreferencesPrinters & Scanners → Select your printer → Open Print Queue.

Update Printer Firmware via HP App

  • In the HP App, select your printer → Printer SettingsAdvanced SettingsFirmware Update.
  • Install any available updates to ensure compatibility with online devices.
  • Reference: HP Printer Firmware Update

Reconnect Wireless Network

  • On the printer control panel, go to Wireless SettingsRestore Network Settings.
  • Reconnect to your Wi‑Fi using the correct SSID and password.
  • Run a Wireless Test Report from the printer menu to confirm connection.

Summary:
Your printer is connected to the network but halts before printing. Using the HP App’s Diagnose & Fix tool, clearing the print queue, updating firmware, and re‑establishing wireless connection are the key steps to restore smooth printing.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
