Hi @sukeshchanrdra,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

The HP LaserJet Tank MFP 2606 supports wireless printing and scanning on the following platforms:

  • Windows 10 / 11 (64-bit)
  • macOS
  • Android / iOS (via the HP Smart app)

Important Note Regarding Windows Server 2016:

Your operating system (Microsoft Windows Server 2016) is not officially supported for full HP printer functionality, especially scanning and wireless setup.

Here's what you need to know:

  • Basic printing may work using the HP Universal Print Driver.
  • HP Smart App, wireless scanning, and some advanced features are not supported on Windows Server editions.
  • 🔧 For wireless printing or scanning in a server environment, you’ll need to contact your company's IT administrator to:
    • Set up the printer on a supported Windows 10/11 or macOS client system
    • Configure scan-to-folder or scan-to-email via the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS)
    • Use shared printing or a network-based print server setup

What You Can Try

If your company has a Windows 10/11 PC:

  1. Set up the printer on that PC using the HP Smart app
  2. Enable printer sharing on the network (your IT can assist)
  3. Connect to the shared printer from your Server 2016 machine

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
