Hi @ANNETTE122,

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

I understand your HP DeskJet 2600 series printer shows “Offline” and the blue Wi-Fi light will not stay solid, even after trying multiple fixes. Let’s go through a few steps to check what could be causing this.

Check the Wi-Fi light status

A blinking blue light means the printer is not connected to Wi-Fi.

The light must be solid blue for the printer to stay online.

Restart printer, router, and computer

Turn off the printer and unplug it for 60 seconds.

Restart your Wi-Fi router and wait until it is fully online.

Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Put the printer back into Wi-Fi setup mode

With the printer ON, press and hold Cancel (X) + Wireless (📶) together for 5 seconds.

Release when the blue light starts blinking.

This clears old network details and allows reconnection.

Reconnect using HP Smart

Open HP Smart on your computer or phone.

Select Add Printer / Set Up a New Printer and follow the steps to reconnect Wi-Fi.

Make sure your device is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you want the printer on.

Set the printer to Online

On your computer, open Printers & Scanners.

Select the HP DeskJet 2600 → Open queue.

From the menu, ensure Use Printer Offline is unchecked.

Check the Wi-Fi band

The DeskJet 2600 supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi only.

If your router uses a combined 2.4/5 GHz network, ensure 2.4 GHz is enabled.

Disable VPN and firewall temporarily

VPNs or strict firewalls can block printer discovery.

Turn them off briefly during setup, then reconnect the printer.

Confirm the printer’s IP connection

In HP Smart, check Printer Information → Network.

If no IP address is shown, the printer is not fully connected to Wi-Fi.

I hope this helps.
