Hi @Johnnny1,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

When the HP Smart app shows your printer is connected but does not update the number of pages printed due to connectivity errors, try the following steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

  1. Confirm Network Connection:
    • Make sure your printer is properly connected to your Wi-Fi network. Check the network status on the printer’s control panel or through the HP Smart app.
    • Ensure the device running the HP Smart app (like your computer or mobile device) is on the same Wi-Fi network as the printer.

  2. Check Internet Connectivity:
    • Verify that your internet connection is stable. Try accessing a website from your computer or mobile device to ensure connectivity.

  3. Restart Devices:
    • Restart your printer, router, and the device running the HP Smart app. This can help refresh and re-establish connections.

  4. Update HP Smart App:
    • Ensure that you have the latest version of the HP Smart app installed on your device. Check the app store for updates if you're using a mobile device, or update it through your application manager on a computer.

  5. Check HP Account Status:
    • Log in to your https://www.hpsmart.com/ to verify the printer's settings and check for any pending notifications that might be affecting the connectivity.

  6. Re-add the Printer:
    • Remove the printer from the HP Smart app and add it again. Sometimes re-adding the printer can resolve synchronization issues.

  7. HP Cloud Connectivity:
    • Ensure that the printer is connected to the HP cloud for services that require cloud connection, like page count updates. You might need to sign in to your HP account directly from the printer.

  8. Review Printer Settings:
    • If connectivity issues persist, check the printer’s network settings through the HP Smart app or the printer's Embedded Web Server (EWS).

If these steps do not resolve the issue, consider reaching out to our HP Customer Support for further assistance.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
