Hi @shar0517,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

The error code "0x800706be" in relation to a printer usually indicates a problem with the printer's configuration or communication with the computer. Here are a few steps you can try to troubleshoot and resolve the issue.

  • Restart your printer and computer: Sometimes, a simple restart can fix temporary glitches. Turn off both your printer and computer, wait for a few seconds, and then turn them back on.
  • Check printer connections: Ensure that all the cables connecting your printer to the computer are securely plugged in. If you're using a USB connection, try using a different USB port or cable.
  • Update printer drivers: Outdated or incompatible printer drivers can cause various issues. Visit the HP website and download the latest drivers for your printer model. Install them on your computer and see if it resolves the error.
  • Run printer troubleshooter: Most operating systems have built-in printer troubleshooters. Access your computer's settings or control panel, navigate to the printer settings, and look for a troubleshooter option. Run the troubleshooter and follow the on-screen instructions.
  • Check printer spooler service: The printer spooler service manages print jobs in Windows. If this service is not running or encounters issues, it can lead to errors. Open the Services window on your computer (press Windows + R, then type "services.msc" and press Enter), locate the "Print Spooler" service, ensure it is running, and restart it if necessary.
  • Disable antivirus/firewall temporarily: In some cases, antivirus or firewall software can interfere with the printer's communication. Temporarily disable these security programs, attempt to print again, and see if the error persists. If disabling them resolves the issue, you may need to configure your security software to allow printer communication.
  • Reinstall the printer: If none of the above steps work, you can try removing the printer from your computer and reinstalling it. Uninstall the printer software, disconnect the printer, restart your computer, and then reconnect the printer.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
