Hi @Burton12,

If you're experiencing issues with connecting your HP DeskJet 2800 All-in-One printer to Wi-Fi because of an incorrect password message, try the following steps:

  1. Verify Wi-Fi Password:

    • Ensure that you are entering the correct Wi-Fi password. Double-check for uppercase and lowercase characters, numbers, and special symbols.
  2. Network Compatibility:

    • Confirm that your printer is connecting to a 2.4 GHz network, as some HP printers may not support 5 GHz networks. You can usually find this information on your router, or by contacting your internet service provider.
  3. Check SSID:

    • Make sure you are attempting to connect to the correct network SSID. Sometimes, networks with similar names can be confused.
  4. Reset Network Settings:

    • Reset the printer’s network settings by following the printer manual or support instructions to start the connection process afresh.
  5. Reboot Devices:

    • Restart your printer, router, and computer/device to ensure all devices are working correctly.
  6. Update Firmware:

    • Check for any available firmware updates for your printer and install them. HP often releases updates that can fix connectivity issues.
  7. Distance and Interference:

    • Ensure your printer is within range of your router and is not obstructed by too many walls or electronic devices.
  8. Use WPS Setup:

    • If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), use this feature to easily connect your printer without entering a password.
