Hi @TonyPmcfc,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

A continuously flashing blue light on your HP printer usually indicates an issue with the wireless connection. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot and resolve the problem.

Restart the Printer:

  • Turn off the printer, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. This simple step can sometimes resolve temporary glitches.

Check Wi-Fi Connection:

  • Ensure that your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly. Verify that other devices can connect to the same network without any issues.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings and reconnect to your Wi-Fi network. Make sure you enter the correct Wi-Fi password if prompted.

Restart the Router:

  • Turn off your router, wait for about 10 seconds, and then turn it back on. Allow the router to fully restart before checking the printer again.

Update Firmware:

  • Visit the HP support website for your specific printer model and check for any available firmware updates. If there are updates, follow the instructions to update the printer's firmware.

Reset Network Settings:

  • On the printer, find the option to reset network settings. This will remove the current network settings, and you'll need to set up the Wi-Fi connection again.

Check for Interference:

  • Make sure there are no electronic devices or objects that may interfere with the wireless signal. Devices like cordless phones, microwave ovens, and other electronics can disrupt Wi-Fi signals.

Check IP Address:

  • Ensure that the printer has a valid IP address assigned by your router. You can usually find this information in the printer's network settings.

Reinstall Printer Software:

  • If all else fails, uninstall and reinstall the printer software on your computer. This will help ensure that the printer is correctly set up on your network.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
