To set up your HP Laser MFP 130 printer series, follow these detailed steps:

Unboxing and Preparing the Printer

1. Remove the Printer from the Box:
   • Take the printer out of the box and remove all tape, stickers, and packing materials from the outside.
   • Lift the scanner lid, remove the packing materials inside, and lower the lid.
   • Lift the scanner assembly and then lift the toner cartridge access door.
   • Remove the packing material from the toner cartridge access area and take out the toner cartridge.
   • Remove the sealing plastic from the toner cartridge.
   • Grasp the toner cartridge on both sides and gently rock it back and forth to distribute the toner.
   • Align the toner cartridge with the tracks inside the printer and push it in firmly until it is seated properly.
   • Close the toner cartridge access door and the scanner assembly.
   • Recycle the packing materials.

Loading Paper into the Input Tray

1. Open the input tray.
2. Slide out the paper guide as far as possible.
3. Load a stack of plain white paper into the tray with the print-side up and the top edge towards the printer.
   • Ensure the stack is below the paper fill guide to prevent jams.
4. Slide in the paper guide until it touches the edge of the stack.
   • Select the correct paper size and type settings from the control panel or computer before printing or copying.

Connecting the Power Cord and Turning On the Printer

1. Connect the power cord to the rear of the printer and plug the other end into an electrical outlet.
2. If the printer does not power on automatically, press the Power button and follow the on-screen instructions on the printer control panel.
