Envy 6530e three days old.  installed everything I think. blue light for wireless is steady. alignment page printed ok, but nothing else has.

Thank you for sharing the details! Since your HP Envy 6530e is brand new, the wireless light is steady, and the alignment page printed fine, the printer hardware is good. The issue is likely software or setup-related; usually, the printer isn’t fully linked to the HP app, or the driver isn’t installed correctly.

Here’s the accurate HP fix:

Step 1: Confirm the Printer is Added in the HP app


Step 2: Check Default Printer

  • On your computer: 
    • Windows: Settings → Bluetooth & devices → Printers & scanners → Ensure HP Envy 6530e is Default.
    • Mac: System Settings → Printers & Scanners → Select HP Envy 6530e.


Step 3: Install Full Driver


Step 4: Test Printing

  • From the HP app, try Print a Test Page or Print Documents.
  • If it prints from the HP app but not other apps, the issue is with app settings.


Step 5: Check Print Queue

  • Cancel any stuck jobs.
  • Restart Print Spooler (Windows) or reboot the Mac.
