printer works with documents but will not print emails

just got new Dell Inspiron desk computer with Windows 11 Home.

HP Officejet Pro 7740 will print word documents but when I try to print an email the printer starts / makes same sounds as it would prior to printing but never prints.  When I go into settings, printer, print test page, same thing happens.  I've restarted printer, restarted computer, restarted printer wifi, all with no improvement.

It is doubtful that Word would print if the full driver printer software were not installed.

That said, if the Printer Properties are not pointing to the HP driver as opposed to an IPP or Microsoft driver, all sorts of odd things can happen.

Too, depending on how you are accessing your email, you might have to set (check) that the printer and possibly "Print using system dialog" are selected in Print Settings.
