If the EWS Event Log is giving you the following error:
"System Error
Network connection error. Check network and try again."
Try disabling all the addons in your browser, or use a different browser without addons. My issue was uBlock Origin in FFox. Opening in MS Edge (Which I never use) it worked fine. Adding the printer to "Trusted Sites" in uBlock fixed the issue.Blocked via addon in Chrome
Whitelisted in addon in FFox

Hi @SpewlettSmackrd,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thanks for sharing your solution! It sounds like you encountered a browser addon compatibility issue that was interfering with accessing the Embedded Web Server (EWS) of your HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP M479fdn printer. Disabling addons or using a different browser without addons can indeed help troubleshoot such problems. Adding the printer to "Trusted Sites" in uBlock is a clever workaround to ensure smooth communication with the printer's web interface. It's great that you were able to resolve the issue!
Take care and have a good day.
