Product: HP OfficeJet 5255 All-in-One Printer
Operating System: macOS 12.0 Monterey

The message "printtool is trying o modify the printer setting" pops up frequently.  It want the printer administrator 

and the password.  It also  has a choice to cancel.  If I click on cancel, the whole thing goes away only to re-appear a few second later.

Printtool is a MacOS process.
