Hi @Geoff081958,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
I understand that you are facing connectivity issues. I’d like to help!
Make sure, your printer and your device are on the same network as 2.4GHZ only.
To connect your HP DeskJet 2549 All-in-One Printer to your new EE 4G Wi-Fi network, you'll need to reset the printer's network settings and then connect it to the new network. Here's how you can do it:
Step 1: Reset Network Settings on the Printer
- Turn on the printer and ensure it is in a ready state.
- Press and hold the Wireless button (the one with the Wi-Fi icon) and the Cancel button (X) at the same time for about 3 seconds.
- Release the buttons when the Wireless light blinks. This will reset the network settings and clear the old BT Wi-Fi network from the printer's memory.
Step 2: Reconnect the Printer to Your New EE 4G Wi-Fi
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device. If you haven't already installed it, you can download it from the HP Smart website.
- Add a new printer in the HP Smart app:
- Click on the "+" icon or the Add Printer option.
- Follow the on-screen instructions to set up a new printer.
- The app should detect your HP DeskJet 2549. Select it and follow the prompts to connect to your new EE 4G Wi-Fi network by entering the Wi-Fi password.
Step 3: Verify the Connection
- Once connected, the Wireless light on the printer will stop blinking and remain steady, indicating a successful connection.
- Print a Wireless Network Test Report from the printer’s control panel to confirm the connection details. You can do this by pressing the Wireless button and the Information button at the same time.
These steps should help you connect your HP DeskJet 2549 printer to your new EE 4G Wi-Fi network. Let me know if you encounter any issues!
