Hello All,

 

I have a hp8720 printer and need to change the admin password in order to setup the scan to folder option. I have not been able to find anything on the net and folks seem to submit here for HP to respond. Could someone send me the directions to reset the password of the hp8720.

Resetting the admin password on your HP OfficeJet Pro 8720 printer can be done by performing a factory reset. 

 

Here are some general steps you can follow:

 

Access the Printer Menu: On the printer's touchscreen, navigate to the "Settings" or "Setup" menu.

 

Restore Defaults: Look for an option like "Restore Factory Settings" or "Reset Settings." Select this option to reset the printer to its default settings.

 

Admin Password Reset: After the reset, the admin password will be cleared, and you can set a new one.
