Hi, I always use to save scanned copy as PDF or any other format but all of sudden now when I scan a page, the save option just vanished. I do not see the save option anywhere. Anybody out there to help on how to fix it ?

Hi @Anu000000

Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.

It seems like the save option for your scanned documents has disappeared, which can be frustrating. Here are some steps to help you resolve this issue:

1. Check the Scanning Application

  • Ensure you're using the HP Smart app or the Preview app on macOS for scanning.
  • If you're using a different app, switch to one of these recommended options.

2. Update the HP Smart App

  • Open the App Store on your Mac and check for updates to the HP Smart app.
  • Install any available updates and restart the app.

3. Reset the HP Smart App

  • Open the HP Smart app and remove your printer from the list of connected devices.
  • Re-add the printer and try scanning again.

4. Reinstall Printer Drivers

  • Visit the HP Support page and download the latest drivers for your printer model.
  • Install the drivers and restart your Mac.

5. Reset Printing System

  • Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  • Right-click in the printer list and select Reset Printing System.
  • Re-add your printer and test the scanning functionality.

6. Test with Another Format

  • Try scanning to a different format (e.g., JPEG) to see if the save option reappears.
