Hi @Buck706,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

I understand how important it is to seamlessly connect your HP Envy Pro 6458 to Wi‑Fi, especially on macOS Sequoia. Let’s walk through it step by step, with a supportive, human touch. 🌟

1. Prepare Your Printer

  1. Ensure your HP Envy Pro 6458 is plugged in and powered on (you'll see the soft purple/blue light).
  2. Confirm the printer is close to your Wi‑Fi router to ensure a strong signal.

2. Install the HP App on macOS

  1. On your Mac, visit HP App – For HP Printers, Laptops, and Tech Accessories | HP® Official Site.
  2. Download and install the HP app, which helps the printer join your network automatically.

3. Connect Your Printer to Wi‑Fi

  1. Open the HP App and sign in or create an HP account.
  2. The app will prompt you to add a printer; choose Add Printer.
  3. When the app searches, if your printer isn’t found, follow the on‑printer steps:
    • Press and hold the Wireless and Cancel buttons on the printer until the Power light flashes, then wait for the Wi‑Fi light to blink.
  4. In the HP app:
    • Select your Wi‑Fi network from the list.
    • Enter your Wi‑Fi password when prompted.
  5. The printer’s Wi‑Fi light should turn solid, indicating a successful connection.

4. Add the Printer to macOS

  1. After connecting the printer wirelessly, macOS may automatically detect it.
  2. If not:
    • Go to System Settings → Printers & Scanners.
    • Click "+" and choose your HP Envy Pro 6458 from the list to add it.

5. Print a Test Page

In the HP app, select Print on a test photo or document. Feel that satisfying moment when the printer hums and prints, knowing everything is set up perfectly!

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
