unable to connect printer to university online log in wifi network

HP Recommended
HP DeskJet 3750

I have registered my printer on my online university accommodation wifi account, however, the printer will not connect to this and I am unsure on how to connect it due to there being no 'password' like an at-home router would have. I have emailed the wifi provider and they have given instructions which I have followed and they now say to reset the printer which I have also done. this leads me to believe that the problem lies with the printer and not the wifi provider. any help would be much appreciated.

Welcome to the HP support community.

HP printers do not support public WiFi connections.

Refer this link for more information:- Click here

However, try these and check if that works.

Restore network settings to default settings

Press the Wireless button and the Cancel button from the printer control panel at the same time, and then hold them for three seconds.

Refer page number 56 in this user guide for the steps to connect the printer to WiFi:- Click here

Let me know how it goes.

I changed my internet to 5G and I was able to connect to HP Smart and it connected after running troubleshooting.  Go figure?  I did not think printer would work on 5g network.  Thank you, Terry
