Common problems for Connectivity Issues

I understand you are facing an issue with your print jobs being redirected to save as PDFs rather than being sent to your HP DeskJet 2652 printer. 

 

Here are some steps you can follow to resolve this issue:

Check Default Printer Settings

Open Settings:

  • Press Win + I to open the Settings app.
  • Go to Devices > Printers & scanners.

Set Default Printer:

  • Under "Printers & scanners," make sure your HP DeskJet 2652 is set as the default printer.
  • If it's not, select your HP DeskJet 2652 from the list and click Set as default.

Change Print Destination

Print Dialog:

  • When you hit print in an application, a print dialog box usually appears.
  • Ensure that the selected printer is your HP DeskJet 2652 and not "Microsoft Print to PDF" or any other PDF writer.

Select Correct Printer:

  • If the wrong printer is selected, change it to your HP DeskJet 2652.
  • This selection is typically found in a dropdown menu at the top of the print dialog.

Remove and Reinstall Printer

If the issue persists, you might need to remove and reinstall your printer:

Remove Printer:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your HP DeskJet 2652 and click Remove device.

Reinstall Printer:

  • Click Add a printer or scanner and follow the prompts to reinstall your HP DeskJet 2652.

Update Printer Drivers  Software and Drivers for HP DeskJet 2652 All-in-One Printer

Ensure that you have the latest drivers for your printer:

Download Drivers:

  • Visit the HP Support website and search for your printer model (HP DeskJet 2652).
  • Download the latest drivers and software for Windows 11.

Install Drivers:

  • Run the downloaded file and follow the on-screen instructions to install the drivers.

Clear Print Queue

If print jobs are stuck in the print queue, it might cause issues:

Open Print Queue:

  • Go to Settings > Devices > Printers & scanners.
  • Select your HP DeskJet 2652 and click Open queue.

Clear Queue:

  • Cancel any pending print jobs.

Restart Print Spooler Service

Restarting the print spooler service can sometimes resolve printing issues:

Open Services:

  • Press Win + R, type services.msc, and press Enter.

Restart Print Spooler:

  • Scroll down to find the Print Spooler service.
  • Right-click it and select Restart.

Additional Troubleshooting

  • Try a different application: Ensure the issue isn't specific to the application you're printing from.
  • Check printer connection: Verify that your printer is properly connected to your computer (via USB or Wi-Fi).
