@ruby285, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If your HP printer won't print from your computer, try these troubleshooting steps:

Basic Checks:

  1. Ensure Printer is On & Connected – Check if the printer is turned on and connected to the same Wi-Fi network or via USB.
  2. Check for Error Messages – Look for blinking lights or messages on the printer screen.
  3. Set as Default Printer – Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, and select Set as default printer.

Troubleshooting Steps:

Restart Everything – Restart your computer, printer, and router (if using Wi-Fi).
Clear Print Queue – In Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click your printer, select See what's printing, and cancel any stuck jobs.
Run HP Print and Scan Doctor – Download and run HP Print and Scan Doctor from HP’s website.
Reinstall Printer Driver

  • Uninstall the printer from Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  • Download the latest driver from HP's website and reinstall it.
    Check Printer Spooler
  • Open Run (Win + R), type services.msc, and press Enter.
  • Find Print Spooler, right-click, and select Restart.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
