Hi @DardiDar,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

If the Wi-Fi option has disappeared from your computer and the adapter is missing in Device Manager, it usually means the wireless driver is either corrupted, disabled in BIOS, or the hardware is not detected. Here’s how to fix it:

Step 1: Check Device Manager

  1. Press Windows + X → Device Manager.
  2. Expand Network adapters
    • If you don’t see a Wi-Fi adapter (e.g., Realtek, Intel Wireless), it’s either disabled or missing.
  3. Click View → Show hidden devices to confirm.

Step 2: Enable Wi-Fi in BIOS

  • Restart your PC → Press Esc/F10/F2 (depending on your HP model) to enter BIOS.
  • Look for Wireless or WLAN settings and ensure it’s enabled.
  • Save and exit.

Step 3: Reinstall Wireless Driver

  • Go to HP’s official driver page for your laptop: 👉 Official HP® Support
  • Enter your model (e.g., HP OmniBook X Flip or your exact model).
  • Download and install the Wi-Fi driver (Realtek or Intel Wireless LAN).

Step 4: Use HP Support Assistant

Step 5: Windows Troubleshooter

  • Press Windows + I → Network & Internet → Advanced network settings → Network reset.
  • Restart your PC after the reset.

If Still Missing

  • The Wi-Fi card may be physically disconnected or have failed.
  • Contact HP Support for hardware service: 👉 HP Contact Support

I hope this helps.

Take care and have an amazing day!
